Jefferies Ne Tata Motors Ko “Underperform” Rating Di, Price Target ₹660 Tak Kiya Kam!

Brokerage firm Jefferies ne Tata Motors Ltd. ke shares ko “underperform” rating de di hai, jo pehle “buy” thi. Saath hi, usne stock ka price target ₹930 se girakar ₹660 kar diya hai. Is downgrade ka asar ye raha ki January 30, Thursday ko Tata Motors ka stock apne 52-week low par close hua.

Naya price target Wednesday ke closing price se aur 13% neeche hai, jabki Tata Motors ka share pehle hi apne peak ₹1,179 se 36% gir chuka hai.

Jefferies Ne Kyu Kiya Downgrade?

Jefferies pichle 3.5 saal se Tata Motors par bullish tha, lekin ab usne weak demand aur badhte costs ke wajah se downgrade kiya hai:
✅ JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) ke China aur Europe me demand weak ho rahi hai.
✅ Customer acquisition cost aur warranty expenses badh rahe hain.
✅ Electric vehicle (EV) market me badhti competition bhi ek bada challenge hai.

Halanki, Jefferies Tata Motors ke Q4 me seasonally better performance ki umeed kar raha hai, lekin usne FY25-FY27 ke estimates 7%-11% tak kaat diye hain. EPS estimates bhi 5%-10% tak giraye gaye hain.

🔴 UBS ne “sell” rating di hai, price target ₹760 rakha hai.
🔴 Morgan Stanley ne “equal-weight” rating di hai, target ₹853 rakha hai.
🟢 CLSA ne “outperform” rating maintain ki hai, price target ₹930 rakha hai.

CLSA ka kehna hai ki Q4 me achha performance ho sakta hai, lekin China aur Europe se demand weak hai, jo near-term risk hai.

📉 Tata Motors ka stock ₹699.95 par trade kar raha hai, jo 7% girawat dikhata hai.
📉 52-week low break kar diya, pehle ka lowest ₹707 tha.
📉 Stock ab apne peak ₹1,179 se 41% neeche aa chuka hai.

Aage Kya Expect Kar Sakte Hain?

Tata Motors ke Q4 results ke baad JLR apne FY26 ke guidance ko re-evaluate kar sakta hai. UBS ka kehna hai ki China me recovery agar strong nahi hoti, to JLR ke 10% EBIT margin target ko achieve karna mushkil ho sakta hai.
