Vijay Mallya ne kaha hai ki woh “relief ke haqdar hain” jabki Indian banks ne ₹14,131 crore ke assets recover kiye hain.

Fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya ne Wednesday ko kaha ki banks ne unse ₹14,131.60 crore recover kiye hain, jo ki unke ₹6,203 crore ke debt se zyada hai, jo judgment debt ke hisaab se unpar banta hai. Iske baawajood, Mallya ko abhi bhi “economic offender” hi mana ja raha hai. X par ek post mein, unhone poocha ki Enforcement Directorate (ED) aur banks kaise justify karte hain ki unhone debt amount se double recovery ki hai, aur claim kiya ki jab tak woh legally justify nahi karte, woh relief ke haqdar hain, jise woh pursue karna chahte hain.
Mallya ne debt recovery tribunal ke order ka zikr kiya, jisme kaha gaya tha ki KFA ka debt ₹6,203 crore tha, jisme ₹1,200 crore ka interest bhi tha. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ne Lok Sabha mein 2024-2025 ke supplementary demands for grants par discussion ke dauran kaha ki ED ne major economic offense cases mein ₹22,280 crore ke assets recover kiye hain. Ismein se ₹14,131.60 crore Mallya ke assets hain, jo public sector banks ko wapas diye gaye hain.
Nirav Modi ke case mein bhi ₹1,052.58 crore banks ko wapas kiye gaye hain, aur NSEL scam aur SRS Group jaise cases mein bhi public aur private sector banks ke liye substantial amounts recover ki gayi hain.
Unhone ye bhi kaha ki government kisi bhi economic offense mein shamil vyakti ko nahi chhodegi aur woh seriously bankon ke paisa recover karne ke liye kaam kar rahi hai. Saath hi, unhone Lok Sabha ko yeh bhi assurance diya ki GDP ke growth mein yeh temporary dip ek short-term setback hai, na ki long-term trend.
